爸媽非常珍惜每一次我們全家的相聚
2022.7.31 你的墻上又掛回數年前你買的poster
三年前你從紐約搬到奧斯丁 把這幅poster暫時掛在Jon在Winchester的家中
去年7月你37歲生日 爸媽到Austin為你慶生 把poster帶來還給你
二個星期後 你重新裝裱 掛回自己家的墻上了
8/14/2022 和朋友去Mexico City旅遊
你說
”very nice and safe, everyone frendlly. It actually reminds me to Taipei very much.
the weather is humid and rains a lot. the streets are mostly lines with trees just like 仁愛路。“
你到了墨西哥城才發現左腳後跟的Achilles tendon不知為何發炎 所以大部分時間只有留在旅館
過了幾天你回到美國後才跟我們說
其實你在墨西哥去了醫院 因為痛的無法走路
到醫院照了x光，超音波，確定肌腱沒有受傷，可能是前陣子健身房做運動太過了
醫生幫你的左腳打上軟石膏，給你一副拐杖，坐輪椅返回美國
你說印象最深刻的是在墨西哥醫院整套檢查 治療下來總共只花費美元400
如果在美國的話 至少幾千元 當然又批評一下美國的醫療貴得離譜
好在沒有多久左腳就完全恢復正常了

實在受不了只有去看皮膚科醫生 拿了很強的類固醇藥膏
你的皮膚從小就常常有問題 被蚊子叮了都可以化膿留疤 我常說幸好你是男生 滿腿的疤也就認了
我心想西醫治標 或許中醫可以從你的體質上做些改變
10月16日我在大生堂訂了中藥粉寄去給你
先傳給你需要注意哪些食物不要吃 哪些可以多吃
你回了，旁邊畫上黃線的是你看不懂的 我很訝異你大部分都認得呢 不錯不錯
10月26日你收到中藥粉 我怕你覺得很苦 沒想到你說：
I can take some pretty bitter stuff if i know it's good for me so that won't be a problem
第一次吃了之後跟我說
oh yea this is possibly the most bitter thing i've ever eaten
11月9日 你傳訊息來： very happy with my compensation results. they just came out today. 沒有想到竟然得到equity grant
i really was shocked i got that equity grant. they only have a small limited number per MD level, and i would have been compared against all the other MDs my level(including one who have been MDs for 2,3,4years already） must have meant they really think i did a good job this past year building the practice
i also just found out we won a big model risk audit proposal at USAA. we thought we were dead in the water in August but USAA changed their minds and picked us over all the other competitors. huge win for us and such a nice surprise

”I really enjoyed this trip too. Thank you for planning all of this mom, and dad that you for doing everything with us even though it was really tiring. I appreciate all the time we get to spend together, and even more so when we can explore new places.
I think this was also the first time i've spent this much time with the kids too - thank you claire for trusting me with them!"

“i'll talking to a bunch of business owners, exec leaders and local politicians. so need to keep it large picture but intersting enough for everyone there. i can speak to broad economic trends and how banks are doing, but not sure how to weave in the Asian aspect yet.”

會後你跟我說：
“i was really nervous at first and was afraid of freezing up or forgetting what to say...and it def was a bit scary at first but i quickly got into a rhythm and then just got on a roll. i used to do these types of presentations a lot but haven't done one in front of this many people in like 5 years... it felt really good though and lots of peopel came to introduce themselves after. was very exausting but felt really accomplished after. i had a whole fan club who showed up too. haha”

哥哥是豬 你是牛 這兩個玩偶一直跟著你們從New Jersey到香港 再到台北
高中時又回到New Jersey 大學時拿回LA的家
2010從LA搬回台北 豬和牛被封在許多一直未開箱的其中之一個箱子裡找不到啦
沒想到前兩個月我到儲藏室找東西 竟然在其中一個紙箱外面看到當初我寫的內容物

6月23日Michael和Frances的婚禮在NJ舉行 我們得以相聚短短三天
那天中午我們到Ray's Pizza 這裡是你們小時候和唸書時我們常去的Pizza店
你在婚禮舉行前的空擋 避開人群 電話處理一些公事
看著你的背影 我的小兒子已是一個成熟的男人了
從去年底的日本行後 二位姪女和叔叔建立起非常親切的關係 她們都好喜歡叔叔
Michael and Frances 愛情長跑16年 于家cousins幾乎全員到齊
美麗的婚禮 感人的證詞 令人驚艷的場地 和無止盡的美食和美酒
婚禮第二天 你和Jon重返North End School
在這裡你和哥哥從Kindergarten唸到二年級和三年級 之後我們舉家搬去香港
看你和二個姪女玩的開心 你也童心未泯吧
July 4th 那個假期 Jon從波士頓 Ted從香港/LA 你們三個表兄弟在Austin你的家中共聚數日
從小一起長大的表兄弟 有超過十年沒有如此一起共聚數日 真難得 也真高興
過了July 4th 你和哥哥一起飛到加拿大的Calgary
今天你38歲 在加拿大的Edmonton
